Ann Claire Williams is a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in Chicago, Illinois. She has lectured and taught skills training courses for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy for more than 30 years, and currently serves as a Board member. She was a federal prosecutor in Chicago for nine years, trying major felony cases, and became the first Chief of the Organized Drug Enforcement Task Force, responsible for organizing federal investigation and prosecution activities for a five-state region. President Reagan appointed her to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in 1985, then President Clinton appointed her to her current judgeship in 1999.
