Wendy Schwartz is an experienced trial and appellate lawyer who handles cases in the financial services, technology, life sciences, and commodities trading arenas, and her cases often involve cross border issues. Prior to founding her present firm, she was a partner in the New York office of one of the largest international firms in the world. She served for eight years as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, ultimately as a Deputy and Acting Chief of the Civil Division. During that time, she prosecuted the "yield burning" false claims act cases, which concluded in multi-agency settlements with 17 investment banks; tried NextWave v. FCC, a fraudulent conveyance case worth $4 billion; and represented the United States in the WorldCom bankruptcy proceedings. Wendy's firm is Binder & Schwartz, New York, NY.
